'Support urgently needed to ensure future of club'

WE all know how important sport is for people young and old, it is healthy, it is social and it is at the heart of the community.
But a popular football club for young people in Cheddar Valley is in crisis since its chairman stood down.
Cheddar Valley Junior Football Club, which coaches and trains children aged 5-16 from all backgrounds and ability, is in danger of closing down unless someone comes forward to become its new chairperson.
The club will be holding an emergency AGM on Thursday, June 26, at the Pavilion rugby club and they are hoping as many people as possible will go along.
They are urgently looking for someone, a parent, a coach or someone from the community to volunteer and become the new chairperson to save the club which is so popular with boys and girls in the area.
