Nine brave souls volunteer for prison

TODAY (July 10), the iron gates of the historic Shepton Mallet Prison will slam shut behind nine brave participants, each taking part in a unique challenge to raise vital funds for lifesaving charity, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

Although their “crimes” may be fictitious, the punishments are real. Each inmate will spend one night behind bars, enduring tough chores, chilling ghost tours, and challenging escape rooms.

From 12pm on the day of their incarceration, each prisoner will have just 24 hours to raise £800 in bail. Only then can they secure their release.

After the charity invited people across Dorset and Somerset to ‘nominate their boss’ to spend a night in prison, a lineup of nine local individuals has been finalised. From CEOs and consultants to educators and estate agents, each will face a night behind bars. Their mission? To raise vital funds for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
