Kneecap stand defiant in the midst of controversy

ONE of the most controversial issues at this year's Glastonbury Festival is the appearance of Irish language rap band Kneecap.
Organisers of this year's festival failed to bow to pressure from MP's and others following the band's alleged displaying of a flag in support of proscribed terrorist organisation Hezbollah while allegedly saying “up Hamas, up Hezbollah” at a gig in London in November last year.
Band member Liam Og O hAnnaidh (Mo Chara), pictured inset, appeared in court in May under anti terrorism laws after the alleged incident at a gig in the 02 Forum in Kentish town, London.
