Heathcoat’s up-and-down season continues to surprise with brutal defeat by Cornwood

EATHCOAT stumbled to a 96-run defeat at Cornwood as their up-and-down season continues.
Three wins spread across nine games - two of which either failed to start, or failed to finish - have left Heathcoat closer to the bottom than the top of the table.
Part two of the season hoves into sight this Saturday with a derby date against Bradninch & Kentisbeare. Having lost by six wickets when the sides met on day one, Heathcoat will have a point to prove.
Cornwood’s top three of Ben Privett (74), Chris Parker (37) and Samarpit Joshi (60) drove the score along to 219 for three. Matt Skeemer (23) helped get the 50-over tally up to 260 for seven.
Joe Hancock (2-36) was Heathcoat’s most effective bowler. Jamie Drew (1-34 off 10) offered little to hit
