Doku's smile has returned and he admits: It's down to my belief in God... and trust shown by Guardiola
JEREMY DOKU has revealed how he has won back the faith of Pep Guardiola.
Doku endured a difficult season as Manchester City finished it empty-handed and he was in and out of the starting line-up.
The Belgium winger, 23, did not score in the Premier League since January, but has been in red-hot form at the Club World Cup and looks rejuvenated.
He has scored two goals, was man of the match in the 5-2 win over Juventus and has been sharp and dangerous in helping City secure a last-16 tie with Al-Hilal tomorrow.
Doku, who joined from Rennes for £55million two years ago, says he feels a new "freedom" that comes from his religious faith and the trust of Guardiola (below).
Doku said: "I feel free and enjoying my football.
