As her bee venom range earns a coveted Royal Warrant, we sit down with celebrity facialist Deborah Mitchell to find out how she made it to Queen Camilla's inner circle

MEET THE QUEEN BEE OF SKINCARE

Few people get an intimate glimpse into the lives of the British royal family, but Deborah Mitchell is one of the rare insiders.

For nearly two decades, the renowned facialist has worked with Queen Camilla, offering her signature Heaven Skincare treatments. Now, her expertise and commitment have earned her one of the highest honours in British business — a Royal Warrant, personally awarded by the Queen.

While Deborah's royal connections helped bring her brand into the spotlight, her dedication to innovation has kept it there. Before receiving the warrant, she was also honoured with a Coronation Medal, recognising her contributions in the lead-up to King Charles III's crowning. The honour further cemented her place among Britain's most trusted beauty experts. Sustainability is at the heart of Deborah's ethos, aligning with the strict environmental standards required for a Royal Warrant.

As the International Day of Zero Waste takes place on 30 March, her brand stands as a prime example of responsible luxury.

Here, we chat to Deborah about royal skincare regimes and how she first came to meet Queen Camilla...

Congratulations on your Royal Warrant! How does it feel?

I'm absolutely thrilled. The process was intense - you're invited to apply, then go through sustainability checks, and they assess if your business is run the right way. Even after passing the requirements, there was no guarantee. Finally, on 19 December at midnight, we were allowed to announce it. It was an incredible moment.

Did you have a feeling you would get it?

I hoped, but you never know for sure. It's a huge honour. It's much easier not to get it than to receive one.

Tell us how you first met Queen Camilla...
