I'm so glad I was killed off in Corrie

KATIE McGlynn had Coronation Street fans in tears when her character died from cervical cancer.

But the actress, who played Sinead Tinker in the ITV soap, says she was happy to be killed off.

And now she is dying to get started with her latest project - a murder mystery play.

Katie, 32, played Underworld machinist Sinead from 2013 until 2019, when she lost her battle with cancer in heartbreaking scenes with her husband Daniel, played by Rob Mallard, by her side.

But when asked how she felt about being killed off, Katie said: "I'll be brutally honest with you, I was overjoyed.
