Pauri's pride powers Operation Sindoor

The entire country is celebrating the success of Operation Sindoor, a powerful and strategic mission that sent a strong message to Pakistan.
Among the nationwide celebrations, Uttarakhand's Pauri district stands out with pride, as the key planners behind the operation hail from this region.
National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan, both from Pauri, played crucial roles in planning and executing the mission under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This is not the first time Pauri has contributed top defence leaders. In 2016, during the surgical strikes, and again in 2019 during the Balakot airstrikes, the late General Bipin Rawat—also from Pauri—worked closely with Ajit Doval to lead India's response. Following these missions, Rawat was appointed India's first Chief of Defence Staff. Once again, Pauri has demonstrated its deep connection to the country's military leadership. The people of Uttarakhand are celebrating not only the success of Operation Sindoor but also the continued contributions of their brave sons to national security.
