CONCERT MAYDAY #5525 LIVE TOUR IN SINGAPORE National Stadium Jan 11
After their first live concert in Singapore in 2001, Mayday have returned to the Lion City almost every other year, performing in 2022 and 2024 at the National Stadium.
So, it was a surprise when lead vocalist Ashin said on Jan 11, during the first of their two 25th anniversary shows here, that he was not sure when the group would return to the Republic.
They plan to work on a new album after their current tour ends.
The 49-year-old joked: "The next time we hold a concert, will it be our 80th anniversary?"
He added: "I really don't know when we will be back in Singapore, so let's cherish these two days."
True to his word, the Taiwanese rock band—which also consists of bassist Masa, drummer Guan You, as well as guitarists Stone and Monster—presented a doozy of a concert as their temporary parting gift.
