Feb 19 Hong Kong (Happy Valley) form analysis

Star Mac Can Win Back-To-Back

RACE 1 (1,200M)

10 Hoss has not won in a long time but he has been catching the eye with strong runs. Returning to his best track and distance, he can launch a late bid when it matters.

6 Winning Heart is well suited back at Happy Valley after fading into fourth at Sha Tin last time. Before that, he strung together a series of placings and looks on track for another win.

8 Same To You will roll forward and should give a sight. His trial between runs was encouraging.

5 Talents Supremo makes his Class 5 debut. He can be slow away but has a sharp turn of foot that brings him into contention.

RACE 2 (1,200M)

2 Perfect General produced a meritorious third first-up after racing too keenly in the early stages. He should improve and this is a winnable race for him.

1 Golden Luck cannot be overlooked in this grade. His last-start fifth is a solid form reference, which holds him in good stead to bounce back into the money.

7 Golden Friendship ran fourth in the same race as Golden Luck on debut. Expect improvement.

5 Our Lucky Glory is having his second run back in Class 4, where his record reads well. His first run back in the grade, when he ran on fairly to finish sixth, was better than it seemed.

RACE 3 (1,200M)

3 Lucky Archangel drops back into Class 4 and should show more early speed than in recent Class 3 starts if his previous winning form is any guide.

2 Fortune Whiskey picked up his second win of the season last time after switching to David Eustace's yard. He does not look done in the ratings yet and, on paper, shapes as the one to hold out late.
