Sembcorp unit inks deal for natural gas piped from Indonesia

Sembcorp Gas, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sembcorp Industries, has signed a gas sales agreement to import up to 111 billion British thermal units per day of natural gas piped from the Mako gas fields in Indonesia.

On Sept 2, Sembcorp said the agreement will allow its piped natural gas supply to last beyond 2028 to meet the energy needs of its customers.
The deal was signed with West Natuna Exploration, Empyrean Energy and Coro Energy Duyung (Singapore).
