Ruling out privatisation of Chennai airport, Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu on Thursday said it is not even in the proposed list of the 11 airports made before the general elections but lying with the cabinet.
"Don't worry, it is not on the list. It is close to our hearts," he told newspersons after inaugurating a Udan Yatri Coffee at the Chennai international Airport. "A proposal to privatise 11 airports was submitted before the general elections. It is still lying with the Union Cabinet and lying at that stage only. No decision has been taken as yet," he said.
