The Shri Ram Navami Mahotsav Samiti (SRNMS) in Siliguri has appealed to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for her cooperation in ensuring a smooth and respectful celebration of Ram Navami on 6 April.
The Samiti has requested the temporary closure of all liquor shops from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the day of the grand rally (shobha yatra), which will see thousands of devotees paying homage to Lord Ram.
