Calcutta HC seeks report from West Bengal administration on communal tension in Mothabari

A division Bench of the Calcutta High Court on Friday sought a report from the Malda district administration on the situation in Mothabari following alleged attacks on Hindus.
The petition refers to alleged "attacks on people of a particular religious community by people from another community."
The West Bengal unit of the BJP filed the petition before the division Bench of Justice Soumen Sen and Justice Smita Das, seeking the court's intervention. During the hearing on Friday, the Bench directed the district magistrate and the Malda police superintendent to submit a report by 3 April.
