Life insurance new business premiums up 14.8 per cent in Sept

The Life Insurance Council has reported — strong performance by India’s life insurance sector in September 2025, with new business premiums (NBPs) recording a year-on-year growth of 14.81per cent.

Total NBPs rose toRs 4020667 crin September 2025,compared to Rs 35,020.28 cr in the same month last year.

On a year-to-date (YTD) basis, the industry reported a 7.64per cent increase, with collections climbing from Rs 1,89,214.04 cr in 2024 to Rs 2,03,668.19 cr this year.
