The Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) has dismissed recent reports in a section of the media that theGovernment of Indiamade a $30 billion claim against the company and British Petroleum (BP), as “factually incorrect”, in a regulatory filing to the stock exchange.
Recent reports which appeared in a section of the media, had claimed that the Government of Indiahad sought more than $30 billion in compensation from Reliance and BP in an arbitration case, claiming that thecompanies failed to produce gas from offshore fields.
