Odisha Ranked Second-Best State in CAMPA Fund Utilization

Odisha has emerged as the Second Best State on utilization of Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) on afforestation and related activities during the last three years from 2021-22 to 2023-24 fiscal, the Centre informed the Lok Sabha.
The Compensatory Afforestation Fund (CAF) is a fund that compensates for the loss of forest land and ecosystem services. The fund is managed by the Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA).
Odisha stood second to utilize the CAMPA fund as Chhattisgarh spent Rs 2624.66 during the last three financial years. Madhya Pradesh is at third spot by spending Rs 2228.08 crores.
