70-Year-Old Gets 20-Year Jail for Raping Minor

The Additional district Judge cum Special Judge Kendrapara has sentenced a 70-year-old man to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment on Tuesday after finding the septuagenarian guilty of raping a nine-year-old minor girl of a village under Pattamundai police station jurisdiction last year.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on the convict Batakrushna Sahoo; failure of which would result in his sentence being increased by a year.
