Ye’s unfiltered doccie, Doja Cat’s new album and all the local drama

Here's what made headlines locally and abroad.

Kanye West documentary gives raw look at his life

Kanye West, now Ye, released the trailer for his highly anticipated documentary, In Whose Name. The film promises an unfiltered look into his highs and lows, including his controversial statements, mental health struggles, and his marriage to Kim Kardashian.

The minute-long trailer features brief appearances from Kardashian and their four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.

The documentary, compiled from 3 000 hours of footage over six years, highlights Ye's creativity, paranoia, and intensity.

Ye did not have editorial control, leaving the story in the hands of filmmaker Nico Ballesteros. According to producer Simran A. Singh, this ensures a raw and independent portrayal, allowing viewers to interpret events for themselves. The film screens in selected cinemas from September 19.

‘Diionte Ntuli back on Gagasi FM’s The Uprising

Back like she never left, radio presenter Minnie Ntuli has returned to her morning slot on The Uprising with co-host Felix Hlophe after stepping away in July.

Her absence followed a heated clash on The Real Housewives of Durban, where a confrontation with Londie London sparked tension. Fans have welcomed Ntuli’s comeback, praising her energy and presence on air.
