BEN Voss is no stranger to the theatre fraternity and theatregoers alike.

- DEBASHINE THANGEVELO

Aside from his award-winning and critically acclaimed stage productions like Green Mamba, Black Mamba, Beauty and the B.E.E., Bend it like Beauty and Benny Bushwacker, his film and TV credits includes the Spud series, Game, Beyond the River, Desert Rose and Reyka 2.

With a wealth of experience under his belt, Voss is bringing his onehander Becoming Benno, which he’s been touring locally and internationally, to Joburg.

The production explores his reflections on his journey to relocate to Australia. It begins at Sydney Airport, where Ben's unexpected detention by immigration, due to a problem with his Permanent Residency Visa, sets the scene.

Meanwhile, his wife and little one anxiously wait for him at arrivals.
