The ultimate rugby anthem for Springboks fans
The Star
|July 01, 2025
THE world of South African rugby is buzzing with excitement as acclaimed musicians Francois van Coke and Robbie Wessels unveil their much-anticipated rugby anthem Bokbef*k.
Released on Friday, the song was dropped to coincide with the Springboks’ clash against the Barbarians at the DHL Stadium in Cape Town for the Qatar Airways Cup on Saturday.
In a playful exchange that set the stage for the anthem’s release, Wessels had been teasing Van Coke on social media with hints of a boxing match, only for fans to discover that the real heavyweight contest would be fought in the musical arena.
The result is a spirited rugby anthem sure to resonate deeply with supporters.
