‘Tactical clarity fueling Amakhosi’s progress’

KAIZER Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze says tactical clarity and a new-found defensive steel are behind Amakhosi's flawless start to the year. | Backpagepix

Amakhosi head to the DHL Stadium mindful of their Carling Knockout Cup exit earlier this season, where Stellies eliminated them on penalties in the round of 16. That result added another chapter to a rivalry that has steadily intensified over recent campaigns, with both clubs regularly crossing paths in decisive fixtures.

However, Kaze was adamant that Chiefs are not driven by payback.

“It's true that Stellenbosch have eliminated us from the Carling Knockout Cup but I thought we were the better team that day and unfortunately we lost on penalties,” Kaze said.
