T9 Hunter transitions from limited edition to lasting model
The Star
|October 16, 2025
SOUTH Africans like nothing more than a special edition vehicle, and when it comes to bakkies, it’s even more so.
Think the Ford Ranger, the Toyota Hilux and the GWM P-series, to name a few, which have all had a run of limited editions with various additions like rims, decals, interior stitching, aggressive tyres and sports bars to make them stand out from the normal garden variety. Sometimes they're so successful that it becomes a permanent fixture, as is the case now with the JAC T9 Hunter.
“With all 24 T9 Hunters selling out instantly, the company decided to include the T9 Hunter as a permanent model in the lineup,” said Karl-Heinz Gobel, the CEO of JAC Motors South Africa. “The T9 Hunter will soon be offered in both 4x2 and 4x4 configurations, available in all eight colours across the range.”
