The script could not be any better. Facing the defending champions and bitter rivals Australia at the “Home of Cricket” has South African cricket lovers waiting in anticipation for the start on Wednesday.
The Proteas have long had a love-hate relationship with sports fans in South Africa, particularly due to the team’s failures at crucial moments in major ICC white-ball tournaments over the years.
