Police hunt suspect after kidnapping and rape of mentally challenged woman

POLICE in Limpopo have launched a manhunt for a suspect following the kidnapping and rape of a 31-year-old mentally challenged woman in Shayandima, near Thohoyandou.
Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba says the incident happened over the weekend of January 24, while the victim’s mother briefly left home to buy food.
“When the mother returned, she discovered that her daughter was nowhere to be found at home and started searching for her until she went to the police station to open a missing person file”
