WHITMORE secured a club double at the weekend in NSSCL Division Five.

The seconds won at home against Sandyford 2nd XI, while the thirds comfortably saw off the challenge of Meir Heath seconds.

Whitmore seconds fielded first against Sandyford and produced a disciplined bowling performance to limit their rivals to 142-9 from their 40 overs.

Alfie Jackson captured 4-19, with Alex Holland and Ahaan Gowda chipping in with a couple of wickets apiece.

Jackson then played a lead role in Whitmore completing a five-wicket success inside 33 overs.

He hit five fours in his 52, while Jon McAll was also in excellent touch, making 56. His knock contained seven boundaries. Joe Ward took two of the wickets to fall.

Whitmore thirds had an easy afternoon as they swept to victory at home against Meir Heath seconds.

It was advantage Whitmore from the moment they posted 173 all out in the first half of the contest.

K Pinchabaduge top-scored with 65, scoring at better than a run-a-ball and stroking 11 fours.

L Illeperuma weighed in with 35, while F Aziz (4-19) and M Asif (3-28) took the bowling plaudits for the visitors.
