What man told police on drink-drive arrest
DAD Carl Stonier demolished a bus stop while drink-driving - with his son in the car.
The 45-year-old lost control of his Vauxhall Insignia in First Avenue, Butt Lane, and crashed into the shelter.
Police arrived and the defendant gave a positive roadside breath test. He was taken to custody where he was breathalysed and gave a reading of 79 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than twice the legal limit of 35.
Now Stonier has been hit with a £1,027 court bill and a 20-month driving ban which means he will lose his job as an engineer.
