School worker told to get immediate medical help due to elevated blood pressure
A COMMUNITY first responder is urging people to check their blood pressure after visiting a school.
Mary Dorrington visited Picknalls First School in Uttoxeter to train staff on CPR and defibrillation.
During the training she asked to check the staff members' blood pressure, and was shocked to find 28 out of 30 had elevated readings.
One staff member's blood pressure was alarmingly high, prompting Mary to advise them to seek immediate medical attention.
