Discounts will continue to act as incentive for new businesses
BUSINESSES moving to Stoke-on-Trent's enterprise zone are set to benefit from tax breaks for another five years in a bid to boost jobs and growth.
A business rates discount scheme has been running on the Ceramic Valley Enterprise Zone (CVEZ) since it launched in 2016, as part of a package of incentives aimed at encouraging firms to set up in North Staffordshire.
Leaders at Stoke-on-Trent City Council are now expected to agree to continue the discounts for five more years up to 2031 and also extend them to the Etruria Valley site. They say that the scheme has been a 'terrific success' so far, attracting inward investment and generating business rates growth for the council.
