Potters hoping to welcome further additions to squad on final day of the summer transfer window

- Peter Smith

MARK Robins set up an intriguing transfer deadline day at Stoke City as he still hopes for further signings after welcoming Tomas Rigo.

Rigo, aged 23, was introduced to Stoke supporters ahead of Saturday's home defeat to West Brom after completing a protracted move from Banik Ostrava. That all but fills Stoke’s 25-man squad and any more signings would require either a departure or a current player to drop out.

Robins was disappointed by the loss but pleased with the work Stoke have done over the last two-and-a-bit months since returning to Clayton Wood for this season.

He pointed to the importance of Lamine Cisse, Steven Nzonzi, Sam Gallagher and Rigo coming in or getting fit to present more options, was hopeful that there might still be incoming business to do and comfortable if that didn’t happen.
