Shoppers check out new Asda Express

SHOPPERS bagged meal deals, hot dogs and pizza rolls as a new Asda Express opened in Stoke-on-Trent.

The branch has launched in the former CMC Motorcycles showroom in Station Road, Shelton, following a £750,000 refit.

Customers through the doors on its first day found shelves stocked with everyday essentials as well as more unusual items such as rope-grown Scottish mussels.

There is also a Costa Coffee machine, an ATM and an Amazon collections and returns service.

Among the shop's first lunchtime visitors on Wednesday were office employees Joe and Rich. The pair work for Nemesis Now, a pop culture collectables wholesaler.
