Medics team up to fight disease

MORE people in Stoke-on-Trent are to be screened for potential cancers.

Lung, breast, bowel and cervical cancer screenings will be brought together under a new approach between screening programmes led by the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, which runs the Royal Stoke.

It aims to increase the number of people benefiting from lifesaving checks. The programmes will share resources, expertise and best practice to make screening more accessible and convenient for patients.
