Delight after latest Ofsted inspection
A PRIMARY school has been praised by inspectors who have described it as 'one big family'. Coop Academy Clarice Cliff in Fenton underwent an Ofsted inspection in November last year.
It coincided with the Government introducing a new five-point scale to grade the different areas assessed - exceptional, strong standard, expected standard, needs attention and urgent improvement. Ofsted no longer provides an overall effectiveness grade.
Coop Academy Clarice Cliff, which caters for 400 pupils, was judged to be at a 'strong standard' for attendance and behaviour, curriculum and teaching, inclusion, leadership and governance, and personal development and well-being. It was also considered to be at the expected standard for achievement and early years.
