Neve, aged 12, scored 2,826 points in the Trafford Combined Events Classic in Manchester. It put her second in the UK for her age group this year in the pentathlon, which consists of 70m hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump and 800m.

The Painsley Catholic College student is also ranked number one in the UK for under-13 girls' 70m hurdles after recording 11.21 seconds at the Charnwood AC Open in August.

Both are City of Stoke AC records.
