Onneley off the mark in style as they beat table-topping Leek

ONNELEY picked up their first NSSCL Division Three win of the season with victory over leaders Leek seconds.

Home side Onneley set sail towards breaking their duck as they dismissed the table-toppers for 105.
Attique Hassan Raja was the star of thw show with the ball for Onneley, finishing with 4-21, while Arfan Mohammed and Vihas Das scooped a couple of victims apiece.
Adam Rutterford (21), Joshua Woodcock (18), Regan Clowes (15) and Neil Chadwick (14) made the most headway with the bat.
Leek fought back impressively on the resumption as Matt Bowcock helped himself to 4-38 and there were two scalps for Woodcock.
However, Onneley managed to find a way to secure a two-wicket win as Toqeer Ashraf Mohammad (44), Das (20no) and Mohammed (16) did the business with the bat.
Bignall End seconds are still searching for their maiden league success of the season after losing at Bagnall Norton 2nd XI.
Bignall End failed to fire with the bat as they were bundled out for 68 on their road trip.
Adam Simcox top-scored with 23, but Lucas Myatt (13) and Liam Peake (10) were the only other batsmen to impress.
