CONCERNS: Germano and Nelly Ferrari, of Gaskell Road, Bucknall, are opposing plans for homes on greenbelt land near their property.

HUNDREDS of worried residents packed into a church to express their concerns over plans for more than 1,000 homes near to where they live.

The city council's local plan is set to see the construction of thousands of new properties across Stoke-on-Trent.

It will guide all development across the city until 2040 and have allocated sites which see 18,528 new homes built.

Now Bucknall residents have said plans to build 1,139 new homes on Eaves Lane haven't been thought through.

And it was standing room only at a public meeting at the Pentecostal church in Eaves Lane.
