The 23-year-old right winger is Stoke City’s joint top scorer so far with three, along with summer signing Sorba Thomas. He got the opener in a 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers on Saturday that meant his team are fifth going into the international break.

But he knows he had chances to seal a win at Ewood Park and there are other moments he looks back on from previous games when he feels he might have done better.

“I've played all right only, I think,” he said. “I should have scored more goals and got more assists. My goal involvements should be better.
