First Goods Yard residents to arrive this month – as councillor hopes development can halt ‘brain drain’

- Thomas Cooper

THE first residents are finally set to begin moving into the highly-anticapted Goods Yard development this month.

Work has been taking place on the The 30,000 sq ft mixed-use development since October 2022. Now operator Capital&Centric say tenants are expected to begin moving in from June 15. A total of 174 apartments are available, comprising one-bed, two-bed, and three-bed offerings.

Each has modern finishings, including exposed pipes and concrete features, floor-to-ceiling windows, and Scandinavian-designed furniture. It is hoped the £60 million development will be a ‘major regeneration milestone’ for Stoke-on-Trent.

City council cabinet member Finlay Gordon McCusker attended the open day.
