Moore the merrier

OSS Darren Moore maintains he is comfortable trying to keep his Port Vale squad happy and insisted, "we approached this last season when we had even more bodies in the building.

The Valiants chief has adopted a different approach this term, sticking largely with the same team in each of the four League One games, except when suspensions and injuries have intervened.

The likes of Kyle John, Rico Richards and Rhys Walters were fit but left out of the squad against Stevenage and there are others waiting in the wings.

Moore is happy to deal with the situation and addressed the question ahead of today's League One home clash with Doncaster Rovers.

"We approached this last season and we had even more bodies in the building than we have now," he said. "What you have to look at, when we go to our first two games in September, the players will have had nine games.
