Mobile service aims to keep patients out of A&E

RESIDENTS are set to benefit from a new service designed to reduce unnecessary visits to A&E.
The new 'X-Ray at Home' mobile service will provide faster, more convenient diagnostic imaging for patients in the comfort of their own home, according to University Hospitals North Midlands (UHNM).
The team will be able to see patients across Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire, offering a professional helpline for West Midlands Ambulance Service and community teams to refer patients who are able to have an X-ray within their own home.
