Lambourne strengthen position at the summit with routine win

FC Lambourne strengthened their grip at the top of the Premier Division table, opening up a nine-point lead with a comfortable 4-0 away victory over FC Maybank.

TARGET: Tom Shea scored as FC Lambourne claimed another Premier success.

The league leaders delivered a composed and clinical performance, with Harry Baggaley netting a brace, while Evans Ofori and Tom Shea also found the back of the net to round off a convincing win.

Loggerheads and Greenhoffs were forced to settle for a share of the points after a closely-contested encounter in which the sides could not be separated.

Toby Durkin was on the scoresheet for Loggerheads, with Adam Catalano for Greenhoffs.

The result sees Greenhoffs remain second in the table, while Loggerheads move up from the foot of the standings into eighth place.

In Division One, Coach & Horses lifted themselves off the bottom of the table with a hard-earned point on the road against promotion hopefuls The Foxley.

The visitors made a positive start and were rewarded early in the first half when Patrick Mazurkiewicz found the breakthrough.

Foxley responded after the interval, with Harry Brookes netting the equaliser to bring the hosts back on level terms. The home side went on to create several chances in search of a winner, but Coach & Horses defended resolutely to hold firm and secure a valuable away point.

In Division Two, Barley Mow produced a ruthless attacking display as they ran riot against Chesterton, closing to within a single point of their opponents in second place.

Kieran Ball and Brandon Rafferty were both in devastating form, each scoring four goals as Barley proved far too strong for a Chesterton side who only had nine men.

The emphatic victory means Barley Mow have now scored an astonishing 26 goals in their last two games, moving up to third place and firmly into the title picture.

Mossley Park Rangers climbed into fourth spot with a comfortable home win over Cheshire Cheese.
