Lions' pride as more than 500 free blood tests set to take place
A PROSTATE cancer screening event is coming to Uttoxeter - thanks to a donation from digger giant JCB.
The £750 donation from the Rocester-based firm will go towards Uttoxeter Lions Club’s annual event on June 5 at Oldfields Sports Ground in Springfield Road.
It will deliver 500 free PSA blood tests to men over the age of 50 in the Uttoxeter area.
‘This will help detect the early signs of the cancer, which affects more than 50,000 men every year.
