CCTV showed her throwing glass at victim

- Sentinel Reporter

A TEENAGER due to be locked up for her part in a drunken attack on a woman at a Stoke-on-Trent pub will no longer have to serve time behind bars.

Olivia Forrester was sentenced to 17 weeks in a young offenders’ institution by magistrates on August 4 after she admitted an offence of threatening words or behaviour.

North Staffordshire Justice Centre heard the 18-year-old became involved in an assault on a woman who allegedly kissed her boyfriend at The Pool Dole, Fenton, on May 1.

During the incident, Forrester held a glass which smashed and caused injuries to the victim.

And when being interviewed by a probation officer ahead of that court hearing the defendant said she would ‘rather be in bed’ than attend the meeting.
