Head hails 'breath-taking' results as 'records tumble'

PUPILS were jumping for joy on a record breaking day at Newcastle-under-Lyme School after they scored 'perfect' grade 9s in all of their GCSEs.

Four students, James, Caleb, Alice and Alexandra achieved a clean sweep of top grades, with 41 grade 9s shared between them.
Delighted headmaster Michael Getty said: “This group of pupils’ grades are quite breathtaking.
