Cosens and Hagan deliver to power Wood Lane to win

Wood Lane were set 151 for victory on home turf - and managed to romp to a 10-wicket triumph inside 35 overs.

Michael Cosens led the way with an unbeaten 83, which featured 10 fours and one six, with Matthew Hagan lending support with 42 not out.

Kidsgrove had earlier been bowled out for 150 on their road trip.

Adam Shaw top-scored with 26, with Chris Highfield (24), Lea Prince (19), Orvil Periera (18) and Jack McNicholas (16) also making starts.

Codie Knight, Michael Leigh and Anderson Kent all claimed two wickets for the home side.

Caverswall are 14 points clear at the top after winning at home against Nantwich.

The visiting Dabbers took first use and managed to post 129-5 from their 40 overs.

R Howell starred with 36, while A Bate (31) and J Howell (22no) also helped the Nantwich cause. J Baker took two of the wickets to fall.

Caverswall had few concerns in knocking off the runs as they required just 22 overs to seal a seven-wicket success.
