Nod to ₹1600 crore M-CADWM scheme under PMKSY

THE Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved the Modernisation of Command Area Development and Water Management (M-CADWM) as a sub-scheme of the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) for the 2025-26 period, with an initial outlay of Rs 1,600 crore.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) also approved two infrastructure projects related to the transport sector that are aimed at removing congestion and enhancing integrated transport development
The M-CADWM scheme aims for the modernisation of the irrigation water-supply network to supply irrigation water from the existing canals or other sources in a designated cluster, Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said.
