IN response to the increasing number of diarrhoea cases across various districts, the Housing and Urban Development (H&UD) Department of Odisha has issued an urgent advisory to all Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and district-level officials.

H&UD Department Principal Secretary, Usha Padhee, has stressed the need for heightened vigilance and real-time monitoring to ensure the safety of drinking water sources, particularly in vulnerable urban areas. Senior district officers have been directed to stay closely engaged with the situation on the ground, immediately flagging any clusters or patterns of mass diarrhoea reports.
