Committed to transforming Bhadrak into a leading development hub: CM Majhi

CHIEF Minister Mohan Charan Majhi reaffirmed his government's commitment to transforming Bhadrak into one of Odisha’s most developed districts.

In an event on Monday, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 13 major welfare projects in Baliapada, Bhadrak, worth approximately Rs. 275 crore. These projects span several sectors, aiming to improve the quality of life for Bhadrak’s residents.

Among the key projects launched were infrastructure developments such as new roads, sports facilities, and a community health center. A library and a park in memory of Dr. Harekrushna Mahatab, a prominent figure in Odisha's history, were also part of the initiative. Besides, the district headquarters hospital was included in the plan for comprehensive healthcare improvements.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Majhi announced further landmark developments for the district, including the establishment of a government university, the upcoming medical college, and a technical textile complex by IOCL. He also highlighted a new polyester manufacturing plant by MCPI Private Limited, set to boost industrial growth and create employment opportunities in the region.
