The city government of Zamboanga celebrated the homecoming of Southeast Asian Games (SEA) gold medalist Eumir Felix Marcial on Tuesday, unrolling the red carpet to give him a welcome fit for a hero.

The city government has accorded a hero’s welcome to local athletes who brought the country pride and honor during the recently concluded 33rd SEA Games in Thailand.
Marcial, the lone gold medalist in the Philippine boxing team, arrived at 5:30 p.m. at the Zamboanga International Airport. He was met by Mayor Khymer Olaso and members of the city council as well as his parents and loved ones.
