Travellers Int'l to lead Westside resort project

Travellers International Hotel Group Inc., the leisure and tourism arm of Andrew Tan's Alliance Global Group Inc., is poised to lead the development of the Westside integrated resort project in Parañaque.

In a stock exchange filing, Suntrust Resort Holdings Inc. said it is pursuing a strategic working agreement with Travellers International, Westside City Inc., Westside Bayshore Holding Corp. and Entertainment City Resorts Corp. (ECRC) to expedite the completion of the integrated resort project.

Under the agreement, Suntrust Resort, the Philippine unit of Hong Kong's LET Group, will effectively hold 20 percent indirect interest of ECRC.

"To ensure the timely construction, development, completion and operation of the Westside integrated resort project, ECRC will assume all rights and obligations related to the project," Suntrust said.
